Ingrid Geronimo’s soothing voice enveloped her audience – about 50 local business owners -- at the Women Business Forum’s™ (WBF’s) free November meeting in Doylestown. A local motivational speaker and intuitive coach, Geronimo started by asking:
1. Who am I?
2. What do I believe (about self, life, business)?
3. Are my beliefs serving my greater purpose?
4. Do I trust me?
She emphasized to be successful you must have a deeper understanding of who you are and what you want. “There is often a disconnect between where we want to be and where we are,” she said. Merely emulating the steps of other successful people will not lead you to your own.
She added that our success is linked to our inner voice, the “feeling that precedes action, our gut, that inner guidance system called our feelings,” which can lead us to be our most effective selves. She called this “our inner GPS.”
There is also a universal GPS, Geronimo added, and for us to reach our goals, the two must “work together to be able to manifest what we believe our potential is.”
To achieve this synergy, she encouraged the attendees to notice our environment, “to be observant of all things, and an observer of your life and all around you. There is a message in these encounters,” sometimes symbolic and sometimes directly related. It is in understanding their meaning and listening to our feelings that we will begin to know ourselves and, therefore, how to proceed to our goals of thriving and flourishing.”
