On Wednesday, June 15, 2011, the County of Bucks will sponsor another “Bucks County Career & Opportunities Expo.”
Several hundred people attended the first expo held in March. This Expo will feature exhibitors, a resource showcase, and workshops to provide the tools and training to help today’s job seekers. One of the workshops scheduled for 1 p.m. is “Are You Ready to Start a Business?” Sonia Smith, Business Development Administrator for the County of Bucks, will join an expert panel to discuss the five key ingredients needed before starting a business.
The Expo and the workshops are free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Delaware Valley College, 700 E. Butler Avenue, Doylestown, PA. At noon, a special keynote presentation, “Reinventing at Any Age”, will be delivered by Lynn Doyle, Anchor/Executive Producer at the Comcast Network. The Expo is further supported by CareerLink Bucks County and the Bucks County Workforce Investment Board, Inc. (BC-WIB). The event also will include resume advice, social media pointers, and information about re-launching your career after the age of 50.
More information about the Expo is available at www.lifetimeexpos.com/careerexpo.html. To learn about the county Business Development programs and offerings, please visit the official County of Bucks website, www.buckscounty.org, or contact Ms. Smith at 215-345-3839 or at [email protected].
