On Wednesday, June 1, Chanin Milnazik, founder of the Women’s Business Forum and owner of Brown Dog Design, a strategic graphic and web design company, told more than 50 WBF attendees how WBF came to be and just what members can find there that will help them build their businesses.
Milnazik didn’t start out as the knowledgeable, confident entrepreneur and business networking visionary that she is now. In fact, she claims that more than 20 years ago she was as clueless as they get. It took a unique women’s networking organization in Akron, Ohio, that focuses on building relationships instead of fostering competition to give her the confidence to launch her own business.
That’s what prompted her to found the nonprofit Women’s Business Forum of Bucks County in 2002, shaping the new nonprofit along the lines of her Akron group with many of the same features:
• Free
• Accepts all professions, with no exclusivity
• Outside speakers
• Focused on relationship-building
• Focused on inspiring the participants
WBF offers monthly meetings and a program 8-9:00am on the first Wednesday at the James Lorah House, 132 N. Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. In addition, it holds Mastermind meetings at three locations in the county each month.
“We want you to leave these meetings jazzed, inspired and knowing you have resources. And if you’re in this room today, you’re a member and it’s free.”
Brown Dog Design specializes in business branding and brand development, corporate collateral, advertising and website design from her studio in Doylestown, Pa. She can be reached at 267.241.9267 or [email protected].
