Following is a list of the WBF committees and their general responsibilities.

Communications - communications (at) womensbusinessforum.org


The Communications committee’s purpose is to publicize the Women’s Business Forum to attract new members, promote members’ expertise and sustain membership and the WBF culture through effective communication. The committee is responsible for ongoing public relations, Web site content, and promotional material as needed.

Development and Finance - development (at) womensbusinessforum.org


This committee will perform general financial record-keeping, prepare taxes, plan future funds allocations and fundraising, develop dues structure, in conjunction with Membership and the Board. It will also formulate a short- and long-term fundraising development plan from public dollars, corporate/foundation giving, annual giving, special events and endowment income, as well as alternative funding sources. It also develops partnerships with local businesses, especially those owned by women or primarily patronized by women; identifies and implements strategies to market the Forum to different population segments; identifies donors; oversees obtaining sponsors for all major events; supports Officers in submitting grant proposals; creates a leadership campaign for the endowment..

WBF Build Your Business Expo (Natalie Douglass; Dana Baedke)
This committee will work closely with LifeTime Expos & Events, and the WBF Communications Committee to suggest and implement improvements, coordinate pre and post event advertising and publicity, support the WBF booth. The committe Chair/Co-Chair will serve as the facilitator of the “Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year” Sub-Committee.

Long-Range and Strategic Planning - lrpcom (at) womensbusinessforum.org


This committee shall meet twice each year to conduct items below. Decisions pertaining to these responsibilities which arise between twice-annual meetings should be handled by the Executive Committee and/or the respective Board Committee. Membership in this Committee is open to the full Board of Directors, and shall include the Executive Committee and Committee Chairs.

Participation in the two annual meetings is open to the general membership, but voting will be limited to Committee members. Responsibilities are:

  1. Strategic Planning including identifying opportunities for growth, developing goals and objectives for the WBF as a whole. Including blue sky planning and consistently asking what if.
  2. Long-Range Planning including review of the organizational structure and By-laws.
  3. Recommending at least one candidate for each position for Executive Committee and Committee Chairs. Other nominations will be accepted.
  4. Recommending yearly dates for social events, retreats, and long-range strategic planning meetings.
  5. Recommending and organizing additional social activities as appropriate.


Meeting Coordinator


At each WBF meeting we would like to appoint a “Coordinator”. The purpose of this position is to make sure the room is prepared — putting out the sign in book and any collateral needed, placement of membership boards, and clean up of WBF materials after meeting. This requires attendance at each meeting but can be delegated if needed. The Moderator and Greeter will support you at each meeting.

The goal of this committee is to attract new members and sustain membership. To do this, it will be a point of contact for potential members, identify and be a representative at events that have the potential to gain new members, manage greeter function at bi-monthly meetings and follow up with newcomers to personalize their experience, including creating welcome and information packets. It will also create tiers of membership and maintain needs and services.

The goal of this committee is to provide speakers who will educate, inform and enhance the lives of businesswomen and nurture and support professional and personal growth. The objectives of the committee are to maintain a high caliber of speakers from both inside and outside of the Forum and provide topics that are timely and pertinent to the members’ interests. This committee will also be responsible for the ad hoc planning of special events, as necessary, and design, implement and report on evaluations of all programs.

Women Conferences


This committee and with the support of the WBF Communications committee will address marketing and public relations for day-of and post-event publicity for all conferences that WBF participates in. The Chair/Co-Chair will serve as the WBF liaison, and help create a presence for the WBF. Conferences include but are not limited to:
  • Pennsylvania Governor’s Conference for Women
  • Bucks County Day for All Women held at Bucks County Community College


Social Committee - social (at) womensbusinessforum.org


This committee is responsible for organizing all WBF social events including but not limited to:
  • Spring Social
  • Summer Social
  • Holiday Social
  • Women's Super Network Participation
